ITB Berlin Convention 2025 sets the stage for industry transformation
The ITB Berlin Convention 2025 will take place from 4 to 6 March, offering a dynamic and forward-thinking programme under the theme “The Power of Transition Lives Here”
With over 400 international experts participating in more than 200 sessions across 17 themed tracks, this year’s convention aims to address the transformative changes and challenges within the global tourism industry.
The ITB Berlin Convention is always an integral part of the show, providing a platform for some of the top minds in the industry. This year, the convention will span four key stages, each dedicated to exploring critical themes shaping the future of travel. The Orange Stage in Hall 7.1 will focus on marketing, sales, and the long-term sustainability of the industry. Highlights include insights from Mitra Sorrells (Phocuswright) and Zoritsa Urosevic (UN Tourism), with sessions sponsored by Microsoft Advertising, Google, and Studiosus.
The Blue Stage, also in Hall 7.1, will serve as a hub for tour operators, airlines, tourist boards, and hospitality professionals. Attendees can look forward to sessions on destination innovation, including an interview with Christoph Debus, CEO of DERTOUR Group, and discussions on the impact of mega-events on destinations.
For those interested in niche markets and special interest tourism, the Green Stage in Hall 3.1 will offer dedicated tracks on Diversity & Inclusion, MICE, Youth & Adventure. A new introduction this year, the Corporate Culture Clash Track will explore workplace transformations, diversity, and the expectations of Gen Z, offering a fresh perspective on adapting corporate strategies to an evolving world.
Digitalisation and emerging technologies will be in the spotlight on the Red eTravel Stage in Hall 6.1. Here, experts will delve into AI, digital marketing strategies, and innovative tech solutions that are redefining the travel sector. The “Best Practices: How AI Reshapes Travel” panel featuring Olaf Backofen (Lufthansa) and Michel Guimet (Microsoft) promises to be a session visitors won’t want to miss.
A key highlight this year is the introduction of the ITB Transition Labs, a new format offering 20 exclusive insights in just 90 minutes. These sessions are designed to provide marketing professionals with data-driven strategies to navigate the industry’s future challenges confidently. Participants will also receive the complete ITB Travel & Tourism Report 2025/2026, offering valuable takeaways for strategic planning.
For the first time, all convention sessions will be live-streamed via the ITB Navigator and later available on the ITB Berlin YouTube channel, ensuring global access and long-term availability of the content.
With its mix of in-person and virtual participation, the ITB Berlin Convention 2025 offers an invaluable platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and industry innovation with the aim of inspiring fresh ideas, fostering global partnerships, and equiping tourism professionals with the tools needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape.
