Austria: Innovation along with culinary and cultural delights at ITB Berlin 2025
Austria is highlighting its rich culinary tradition together with culture and digital innovations during ITB Berlin 2025. Chefs, start-ups and cultural destinations promise an unforgettable experience.
Austria is back at ITB Berlin this year with 71 tourism partners showcasing their offerings at the country’s 900m² stand. With the return of the MICHELIN restaurant guide in Austria, culinary highlights are the focus of Österreich Werbung, Austria’s national tourism agency. The centrepiece of the Austrian stand in Hub 27: the Chefs Table, featuring culinary events throughout the day, including interviews, tastings and workshops hosted by two TV celebrities from the food world.
“Austria is presenting itself at ITB as an innovative, enjoyable and sustainable holiday destination. With a diverse programme of culinary delights, culture and digital innovations, we are showing what tourism will look like in the future,” says Susanne Kraus-Winkler, State Secretary for Tourism. “ITB Berlin is the perfect platform to highlight our strengths as a culinary tourism destination, cultivate valuable partnerships and showcase Austria’s hospitality internationally,” she adds.
One of the innovative highlights at the stand is a wall turned into a stage for augmented reality. The Artivive app and the Austrian National Tourist Office bring a culinary work of art or a marketing motif to life and let visitors immerse themselves in the scene.
Also at Austria’s stand and exhibiting for the second time at ITB Berlin is Austrian Leading Sights, which has become an important platform for networking and further developing Austria’s leading sights. With 22 top attractions on show at ITB Berlin, the association is showing the diversity of art and cultural experiences around Austria.
